Coffee. Such a simple thing, but what can we do to not only use it as the tasty caffeinated drink that is it? Here is a list of 5 things that we can reuse coffee grounds for:
1. Deodorizer: Put a mesh pouch of old coffee grounds in the bottom of your trash can, or reuse an old plastic jar with a lid (punch holes in the lid) into the fridge to eliminate nasty odors.
2. Body Scrub: Take the used coffee grounds out of your press or machine, add 1 tablespoon of olive oil and enjoy your bright and smooth skin! There is an idea that this helps ward off cellulite, so it's worth a try.
3. Fertilizer: I mean, think about it...Plants would love the energy boost as much as you do. Coffee grounds help keep your plants fertilized and healthy (as well as keeping insects away from your plants).
4. Stain: Allow your used coffee grounds to sit in a bowl of water overnight, and stain those annoying scratches in the morning.
5. Mask: Use those old coffee grounds along with a mashed avocado for an invigorating face mask. Of course, while taking it off, it is a great exfoliant for your face.
